A fitness instructor and YouTuber, she is known for her creation of the 21 Day Fix. She's an Beachbody certified personal trainer and a member in the fitness trainers' community. In September of 2013 she launched her YouTube channel using the same name. In it, she often posts on diets and exercises. Her previous work was with Brooke Burke's site Modern Mom. Newton along with Chris Diamantopoulos were married in New York on 12 May 2005. It was announced on July 1st, 2010 that Newton was expecting Diamantopolous' first child. She gave birth in early November, 2010. And in January of 2014, she welcomed the birth of a girl. Newton was the character on Amanda Tanen, the ABC drama-comedy show Ugly Betty. She played this role from 2006 until 2010. Newton, along with Michael Urie was co-hosting the Ugly Betty podcast. Newton was also a guest on ABC.com's Mode After Hours alongside Urie.
